Woodland walks
The stunning and diverse natural landscapes of North Norfolk offer a huge range of opportunities to explore. Why not take a woodland walk to get back to nature and discover the many species of wildlife that call the area home?
Holt Country Park
Just a 25-minute drive from Forest Park, Holt Country Park has won a Green Flag award for being kept clean with easy access and easy to navigate. It has easy paths and a sculpture trail to enjoy, as well as a seasonally-open visitor centre.
Sadlers Wood
Sadlers Wood is another Green Flag-winning wood and the woodland floor is covered in bluebells in the spring, but is also home to a range of different trees to enjoy year-round.
Pretty Corner Woods
Another recipient of the Green Flag award, Pretty Corner is made up of mixed woodland, heathland and secluded ponds. These woods are set on the steep slopes of Cromer Ridge, so may be more of a challenging walk.
Bacton Wood
Bacton Wood is currently undergoing a regeneration project and features a conifer plantation, deciduous woodland and open spaces. There are also trails for orienteering and horse riding if you want to extend your time in the forest after a walk.
